Have You Checked Your Tyres Lately?
Checking the amount of wear on your tyres is something most of us don’t really think of, until something happens. When you get a service done on your car, it is a good idea to get your tyre’s pressure checked, rotated and balanced to ensure even wear. Driving on worn tyres, particularly in wet conditions, means you’re unable to stop safely. This can mean you end up sliding over the road. Other potential issues include bubbling, or even a blowout.
So, how do you know if your tyres are reaching the end of their life? All tyres have little markers in the treads to use as a base for when your tyres should be replaced. If the wear isn’t even all around, it could mean your car is unbalanced or the tyre pressure is uneven in all four tyres. If there is hardly any tread at all, or smooth areas anywhere on your tyres, it is vital to get them replaced as soon as possible.
Haven’t looked at your tyres for a while, why not get them checked out today? It could save you some strife or even an accident.
